AN TAISCE SPRING CLEAN 2016

Wednesday last week, April 20th, saw the An Taisce Spring Clean take place in the Friary Boys. Green Schools Committee members and volunteers from all classes with some of the staff, spent the afternoon cleaning up the school grounds and the surrounding areas. Thanks to the work of the Green Schools Committee and all the boys in the school, there was little rubbish to be collected within the school grounds. We worked along the entrance to the school, weeding and cleaning and between the school and the Friary football pitches. All the hard-working volunteers were rewarded with a cooling ice cream by Mr. Stanley, which was well-earned.
