Today we held our long anticipated Sports Day!! This was the first in over 2 years and everyone made sure to make the very most of it. A huge amount of organisation went into the day and a huge thanks must go out to all the pupils and staff for making it such an enjoyable day.
As usual, crowds gathered in both the senior and junior track to watch the morning heats including the long jump and long throw. These were then followed by the finals in Egg & Spoon, Sack Race and the Sprint. After a short break we then returned for the Finale of the day which was the historic Calaroga Cup. A huge congratulations must go out to St Joseph’s who lifted the Calaroga Cup this year, followed by our very own Friary team in 2nd Place.
We then wrapped up the day with an exhilorating inter-class relay. This consisted of pupils from 2nd all the way to 6th running a leg of the race and it was certainly one for the judge as the teams crossed the line.
Another fantastic day in the Friary field and we are already looking forward to the same events next year!!
