Today we brought our long running lunctime league and GAA calendar to a close. The day started with our 2nd class boys competing in their first GAA in-school competition. This was followed by our Junior (3rd & 4th) and senior (5th & 6th) teams playing out two semi finals before donning the Friary jerseys to take part in their respective Fr Kane Cup final. We had 4 teams in each age group – Leinster, Munster, Ulster and Connacht all competing for the cup which has been brought about after the sad passing of Fr Andy Kane who was a great lover of Gaelic and Hurling in the Friary. In his honour the Dominicans pledged the cup and medals to the school to keep his name and the event at the forefront of our sporting calendar.

Check out the fantastic photos from a wonderfully enjoyable day.
