Well done to our U-13 gaelic team who took part in the Cumann na Bunscoil competition this year. In all we had more than 40 pupils play this year, a testament to the appetite for GAA and sport in our school. Winning 4 out of our 5 group matches led us to today’s semi-final which took place in Drogheda against St Mary’s. The team prepared fantastically well and did the school and themselves very proud in the way they conducted themselves. They fought for every ball from the throw in and not long into the second half trailed by just one score. Unfortunately, however we were beaten in the end by a very good footballing team. We hold our heads high as the top four teams in the county and look forward to more competitions after the winter break.
Thanks to all the parents for their continued commitment and support from the sidelines.
