As part of the wide ranging work of our Deputy Principal Ms Hughes and the Student Council in the Friary, the ever popular chess club has resumed following a break due to Covid. The club is run on a Wednesday at lunchtime and allows pupils from beginners to chess enthusiasts the opportunity to compete against their fellow colleagues. Our student council facilitate the refereeing of matches and sharing of advice or tips throughout. This is a fantastic addition to our school and we are delighted to see it return.
