Our 6th Class leavers took to Annalough Loop for their sponsored walk yesterday. The bus picked us up at 9.30am and dropped us close to Fitzpatrick’s restaurant, Jenkinstown. From there the boys and teachers began on a steep incline for the start of their mountain walk. The path took us up past a megalithic tomb at which we turned to start the loop. Another piece of history of the area is that of the crash site of an RAF jet in which Ms Murphy shared the background of to us all while eating our lunch. Well done to our boys on their successful completion of the walk and return of sponsorship cards. There is still time to hand in cards so please do so by tomorrow, Friday June 23rd.
