Well done to our GAA 7s team who qualified for the county final blitz after coming through a difficult group in Darver today. The group consisted of Louth Village, Kilcurry, St Joseph’s and St Malachy’s BNS. After wins in their two opening games, the final match of the blitz against Kilcurry was a ‘winner takes all’ contest. With a strong breeze blowing done the pitch, our boys took full advantage with some clinical finishing, however the boys only went in at the break a goal and a point to the good. The second half, the boys defended for their lives and lived off scraps up front. But with a seismic effort, the boys came out on top at the final whistle and so qualified for the county blitz. Dates, times and venues are all yet to be decided. Well done boys.
