Today was certainly a day to remember for those who travelled to Aviva Stadium for the Aldi tag rugby blitz. 15 players from 6th class made the trip, enjoying not only the chance to play tag rugby but to play it in one of the most iconic stadiums in Europe. The team, mentored by Ms McCann and Mr McKeown took to the hollow turf of Aviva to play against other schools in the Leinster region. Not alone this, but the boys got to rub shoulders with Ireland rugby stars Paul O’Connell and James Ryan. A wonderful day, thoroughly enjoyed by all. A big thanks to Ray Mccabe and Colm Finnegan for organising the event and giving the boys the opportunity to live their dream of playing in such a historic ground.
