This week, the second last week before summer holidays saw our classes sell sponsorship for their annual walks.

Our 2nd and 3rd Classes made their way to Ice House Hill for their Dundalk walk while our 4th class visited Clarke Train Station in Dundalk. Here they learned all about the history of the station and get a tour of the platform and a train!! This is a very enjoyable event and focuses on transport in the region.

Our 5th class visited the Famine Graveyard, having studied the famine during the year this was a very worthwhile visit and one with so much history on our doorstep.

Our 6th class also departed today on their final bus journey to Annaloughan Loop. The 8km walk was enjoyed thoroughly by pupils and staff alike, with some uphill climbs along with some stunning views and downtime with plenty of short breaks and an extra long lunch!! The boys bonded with buddies from whom they have spent many years alongside and we hope they all stay in touch into the future.

Our Dundalk walks continue throughout the week so keep an eye out on the page for more details and photos.
