February 1st is a very special day in the school calendar, especially herte in Co Louth where we know St Brigid spent a lot of time, as a result we have St Brigid’s shrine in Faughart. As we know, St Brigid’s Day marks the start of Spring and we look forward to seeing the Daffodils springing up around St Malachy’s BNS. This St Brigid’s Day some of our class joined an online Webinar on St Brigid while Ms Ronan and Ms McShane took on the envious task of making St Brigid’s crosses. This is a fantastic skill and one in which the boys thoroughly enjoyed taking part in. After making the crosses, each class was given it’s very own and these were blessed by our very own Prior Fr David Barrins O.P. Check out our photos below!
