Today marked an historic day in St Malachy’s BNS with our first assembly back in the hall and only the second full school gathering since Covid. As is now custom, we always kick off the first assembly of the year with a prayer service. A huge thanks to all who took part, especially our Prior and celebrant Fr David Barrins. A big thanks also to our prayer service readers and Green Schools Committee.
When the prayer service drew to a close, there were a number of awards. The Golden Boot award for September was also presented to the winning class which was Mullen’s 2nd class. Well done to Ms Mullen’s class on being the class choosing to use sustainable travel to school. Keep up the goodf work.
A very big congratulations also to all who received prizes for handwriting awards on the day. A special St Malachy’s BNS inscribed pencil (junior) and pen (senior) was received by our winners.
