Today marks Lá Glas in our journey through Seachtain na Gaeilge, on the way to celebrate St Patrick’s Day!! Our school was full of colour as the boys were wearing green and traditional Irish clothing /Éadaí traidisiúnta to celebrate our National Saint.

In the afternoon, our Céilí mór took place with all classes along side our monthly assembly. Our assembly was led by Ms McNally and Ms Bond’s 3rd class telling us the story of St Patrick. We then announced the winners of our Tráth na gCeist, Cluiche Bingo and Handwriting awards. There was a brilliant array of music throughout the assembly, this was performed by a number of groups including the school band, the school choir, our tin whistle group while we also had some solo performances from Errol and Gabriel.

We would like to wish everyone a safe and joyous St Patrick’s weekend.

The school will be closed on Monday, March 20th due to teacher training. We look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday.
