On Friday last, our 2023 final took place between two 6th Class pupils – Gabriel and Roonald.
The final was a tense affair with many of the boys colleagues choosing to stay in and watch a very entertaining final. After some very conscientious play by both finalists, it was Roonald who was first to Checkmate and take the coveted crown of CHESS CHAMPION 2023!
Congratulations to the two finalsist and all the chess participants this year. A huge thank you to Ms Hughes and the student council for all their hard work and dedication while facilitating the running of the chess club throughout the year.
