The Friary field was a hive of activity on Friday last with our annual Sports Day taking place following postponement on Thursday. Thankfully the weather played it’s part along with every pupil in the school. As is tradition, we kicked off with the junior and senior heats on two tracks. These included the sprints, sack race and egg & spoon. Every pupil also took part in the long jump and long throw. It was a wonderful morning with some pupils qualifying for finals but most importantly all enjoying themselves.
After a short break, we ran the finals on the track nearest the school which brought great excitement and a few nerves on the starting line. The boys performed brilliantly and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place were decided with close finishes on the line.
The afternoon saw the return of the Calaroga Cup, interclass relay and class relay which all brought huge numbers of visitors to the field. Check out some of our photos from a wonderful day.
