Firstly we would like to thank all those parents and friends who supported our sponsored walks so generously. The boys had a fantastic few days and the weather certainly played it’s part as we walked to Ice House Hill (2nd & 3rd Class) and The Famine Graveyard (4th – 6th Class). During the Ice House Hill walk some of our 2nd class pupils released Butterflies that had been grown in the class. Our 4th, 5th and 6th classes were treated to a very historical trip to Dundalk’s Famine Graveyard. A place that has been recovered from the brink thanks to a fantastic group of volunteers. We were so lucky to meet some of these volunteers this week and we must congratulate them on the fantastic work they do week in week out. The Famine Graveyard is a sad but beautiful place and we would encourage locals to check it out.

Take a look at the photos capturing the excitement and fun of the sponsored walks.
