Today, our two 6th classes had the privilage and honourt of visiting Leinster House, the home of Ireland’s Parliamentary offices. A big thanks to local Senator John Mc Gahon, whom organised the visit and addressed the classes alongside another local politician, Ruairí Ó Mhurchú. The trip included a visit to the History Museum before meeting up with Senator McGahon and being ushered on a full tour of the buildings. This included an up close look at Dáil Éireann and Seanad Éireann. The tour also took us to Taoiseach’s landing where hung portraits of Ireland’s Taoiseachs. It was certainly a day to remember and the boys left with a beautiful certificate as a momento to their visit. Thanks again to our local politicians, Senator McGahon and Ruairí Ó Murchú TD for their time.
