Today marked a very special day in the Friary calendar, our Sports Day for 2023. This was only our second sports day since a welcome return from Covid and it lived up to every expectation. The day itself weather wise was absolutely magnificent with the warmth of the sun bearing down on us all throughout the day.
The day began with the heats in each age group from U8’s up to U13’s on a junior and senior track alongside a long jump and long throw. This stage meant every single pupil in the school took part and enjoyed their involvement. After a short break, the finals of our heats in the sprint, sack race and egg & spoon took place with our pupils being willed on by their friends & families.
Thanks also to our Parents Association who provided much needed refreshments for parents and visitors throughout the day
